The Location
The Artist's House is in the countryside, just a ten minute stunning drive into Wanaka, 2 minutes to the local airport and an hour from the international airport in Queenstown.
Nearby there is: World class vineyards like Quartz Reef and Felton Road, stunning mountain bike trails like the newly opened Lake Dunstan Trail, beautiful river trails to run, and of course everything that the region has to offer from the stunning lakes, mountains, hiking and every adventure activity imaginable!

"Where do I start! This house far exceeded my expectations. It's so much better than the photos. Sonia was the kindest host and made me feel immediately at ease in her presence. She gave us the run down of the amazing features this place has, and boy does it have a lot! Her art is just breathing takingly beautiful.
Everything flows and everytime you look around you discover another precious piece of art you hadn't noticed before. The funky lights and crystal surrounded tv made for such a memorable movie night. There is a river out the back and raspberries for picking. The house itself was far larger than I expected and the pizza oven was so much fun to use.
It truely was the most magical house I have EVER stayed in, and that is why have already booked to go back!

Our originally booked accommodation was no longer available when we arrived in the evening and we had to find a replacement at very short notice. We have found one of the most extraordinary accommodations we have ever had on our trips around the world.
Sonia's house is the ideal symbiosis of art, luxury and comfort. The house is super spacious and each room is a work of art in itself. This continues consistently in the outdoor area. We were so impressed with Sonia's accommodation that we gave up all our plans to explore the area further the next day. Enjoying a full day in such an inspiring and relaxing place to stay,
we couldn't have asked for a better highlight in the Wanaka area.
